Road Work Barrier

Danbury North Road Closures

March 1, 2026 Update:
Per ODOT, the contractor is planning to kick off “Phase 2” on Monday, April 27th, which will require closure of both the southbound and northbound lanes of SR269.

Once this phase is underway, they estimate it will take approximately 21 days to complete the essential work. This will include tying in the north and west legs of the roundabout—where southbound 269 has been open since last season—along with paving the remaining asphalt and resurfacing SR269 west of the roundabout to SR-2. With that timeline, ODOT’s goal remains to have both lanes reopened and the roundabout fully accessible to the public the week before Memorial Day weekend, provided the weather and progress cooperate.

As we move into this next stage of the project, Connor Landversicht will become the main ODOT contact (Connor.Landversicht@dot.ohio.gov) for updates and any questions residents might have this season.

Sept. 2025:
The Ohio Department of Transportation has notified that they are placing a roundabout on State Route 269 at the State Route 2 interchange. This will require the full closure of Danbury North Road (CR#136), between SR 269 & Bayshore Road (CR#135). No traffic will be permitted. The projected dates of closure are from September 2, 2025 through May 15, 2026.
