SR 2 & 269 Roundabout
Roundabout construction at what is locally referred to as the “Spider Web” or “Pretzel” at the SR 2 & SR 269 exit and on ramp will begin in September 2025 through the Summer of 2026. Similar to the 2024 construction at the Catawba SR 53 exit, it is anticipate that the ramps will be closed during this time. Detour route is to use the SR 53 Catawba exit. ODOT Fall Projects Informational Open House
The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) invites the public to an informational open-house to learn about projects coming to the region this fall. The open house will be held Wednesday, August 27 at the Liberty Aviation Museum (located at the Ottawa County airport), conference room No. 1, 3515 E. State Road, Port Clinton. Interested persons may come any time between 3-6 p.m. as no formal presentation will be made. Officials with ODOT will be available throughout the designated time to discuss the following upcoming projects (reference map below):

  1. State Route 269 at S. Danbury Road roundabout construction
  2. State Route 163 shore revetment project in Port Clinton
  3. State Route 269 at State Route 163 traffic signal upgrade incorporating flashing yellow left-turn arrows
  4. Representatives from neighboring Erie County in District 3 will be available to discuss the active State Route 2 resurfacing project occurring beyond the county line.
