Church Road Rehabilitation Project

Ottawa County has hired Buckeye Excavating & Construction, LLC as the prime contractor for this project. The scope includes drainage improvements alongside both sides of the road from St. Paul Lutheran Church south to S. Bayshore Road. The road will also be resurfaced from SR 163 south to S. Bayshore Road.

The road surface will be milled first then a new layer of asphalt applied. Traffic will be maintained to one-lane through the life of the project. If additional traffic restrictions are necessary they will post updates on the County Engineer’s website at https://www.co.ottawa.oh.us/219/Road-Closures. Crews are scheduled to start work on Monday, June 23, 2025 and continue through Friday, September 19, 2025. The work schedule is Monday through Thursday 7:00am-5:00pm, with Fridays as needed. Traffic will be maintained to one lane with mobile traffic lights used to help control movement in the construction zone. Motorists are advised to expect long delays and are encouraged to avoid this area during construction if possible. Please exercise extra caution while traveling through the work zone to help ensure your and the construction crews’ safety.
